Upstate Mobile Notaries, LLC was called on to schedule an appointment for a signer flying into Greenville-Spartanburg Airport (GSP) on the evening of Monday, September 12, 2016.
The signer had a document of Offer of Purchase. However, the document itself lacked notarial language. As it is law, that a Notary Public isn’t allowed to pen or stamp their seal to a document void of notarial language. This was explained to the signer, who was not pleased as said document had to be stamped by a notary to valid by the excepting agency. So what do you do? In this instance, the document was re-drafted to included the legal notary language. It was then signed by the signer, notarized and stamped by our Notary.
