Vehicle Title Transfer

SouthCarolinastatesealThere are extra requirements for North Carolina residents who enter into South Carolina to purchase vehicles to take back to their home state. In North Carolina, it is a requirement to show the notarized signature of the Seller within the transaction.

If you have any questions as to whether your state requires anything more on top of a Bill of Sale or Certificate of Title Transfer documentation, contact your local Department of Motor Vehicles.

And if there’s signature notarizations required, contact Upstate Mobile Notaries, LLC.

This assignment was completed on Saturday, May 21, 2016.

Notary for Refinance Transaction Oversight

FedEx_Express.svg This refinance totaled 236 pages, including copies for the signers involved.  The signing concluded with a visit to drop the documents at FedEx which was ironically where the assignment itself had taken place. This after 2 location changes due to inclement weather. Nothing like a 1 stop shop!

This oversight was completed on Friday, May 20, 2016 at Kinkos FedEx located at 550 Woods Lake Road, Greenville SC.

I-9 Employment Verification

On May 10, 2016, a call rang in for services of an I-9 Employment Verification form. Shortly thereafter, we were handling this assignment. However, there was a bit of a misunderstanding about the proper legal way to handle such a document.

Most people believe that Notaries Public notarize I-9 forms. But this is not so. We as public officials can only act in the capacity of an authorize representative for the hiring company. We only verify the identity of the employee and pen the document. There is no notarizing involved on the document itself. BUT…if the company request an affidavit or provides one we can notarize the signature of the employee to such.
